Peters Township Seeking Board Members

Peters Township Seeking Board Members for:

  • Construction Appeals Board
  • Environmental Quality Board
  • Library Board
  • Parks & Recreation Board

Peters Township is seeking resumes from Township residents willing to volunteer their time and talent to serve on the following boards:

Construction Appeals Board (Meets on as needed basis) - The Construction Appeals Board is a regulatory board that hears appeals and requests for interpretation of the Uniform Construction Code. The Board also provides recommendations as to the adoption of code revisions. 

Environmental Quality Board (2nd Tuesday of month, 7:30 p.m.) - The Environmental Quality Board advises the Peters Township Council with regard to the development and implementation of policies and programs aimed at preserving and enhancing the environment and character of Peters Township. In addition, Board members actively participate in environmental projects and programs such as the annual Peters Township Cleanup Day. 

Library Board (2nd Tuesday of month, 7:00 p.m.) - The Peters Township Library Board oversees the operation of the library, as well as provides advice to the Peters Township Council with regard to library matters.  

Parks & Recreation Board (3rd Thursday of month, 6:00 p.m.) - The Parks and Recreation Board recommends policies and programs designed to meet the leisure needs of all age groups. The Board assists in reviewing proposed improvements to the Township’s park system. Open spaces proposed for dedication by developers are also recommended by the Board members.
