2021 OPEN HOUSE
Welcome Back!
We are so excited to share that we will be hosting an in-person Open House this year on Saturday, September 25th, 2021!
We hope that you will join us for an afternoon of fun, community, and SAFETY to kick of the 2021 Fire Prevention Week. While we are so excited to have everyone back at our station, there are a few important changes to assist in ensuring our visitors and crews remain happy and healthy!
Pre-Registration
New this year, we will be offering (3) 1-hour sessions that are capped at 125 people per session. This decision was made with the health and safety of our visitors and first responders in mind. There will be (30) minutes between each group to allow attendees to safely exit the parking lot and our crews to reset and sanitize the stations. The sessions are at 11:00am, 12:30pm, and 2:00pm. You can register for you and your family by clicking here.
Activities
Many of your favorite activities will be back this year, with a few surprises as well!
- Junior Firefighter Agility Course
- Live Demonstrations
- CPR and Public Education
- Live Fire Extinguisher Training
- Vehicle Walk-Arounds (Attendees will not be allowed inside of vehicles)
Food & Drink
"Grab & Go" prepackaged snacks and beverages will be available to our guests. Vouchers will be issued at the registration table.
Health & Safety
Capacity limits
Each (1) hour session will be limited to 125 guests on our property which should allow for a comfortable distance between attendees. Guests must have preregistered and have a ticket to gain entry.
Food & Drink
Unfortunately we will not be offering hot foods or sit-down eating this year in order to keep our guests moving through the various stations and attractions and to avoid overcrowding near seating/eating areas. We will have "grab & go" snacks and beverages available.
Open-Air
All activities will take place outside or in our garage bays with all doors open to allow for proper airflow. With the exception of restroom use, the inside of the station will be closed to visitors.
Face Coverings
While face coverings will be optional, as COVID cases continue to rise especially in children, we are strongly suggesting and appreciate face coverings being worn. Face coverings are required if attendees have to use a restroom inside of our building. All Peters Township Fire Department Personnel will be wearing an approved face covering for the safety of our residents.
Feeling ill?
If anyone in your household is feeling sick, we ask that you do not come to the event for the health and safety of your neighbors and first responders.
