Peters Township Council is pleased to announce that effective March 29, 2026, Canonsburg Ambulance has been appointed as the new primary EMS provider for Peters Township.

On March 29, 2026, Peters Township VFW 764 Ambulance will officially cease operations. Peters Township Council expresses its deepest gratitude to VFW Post 764. For over 60 years, the VFW has been an incredible community partner, overseeing the emergency medical services with unwavering dedication and care.

All parties are working diligently to ensure a seamless and smooth changeover without disruption to emergency medical services.

We want to reassure you that this new partnership will not only maintain services but will strive to enhance the level of care our residents expect and deserve. Under our agreement with Canonsburg Ambulance, residents can expect the following:

  • Dedicated Local Coverage: Canonsburg Ambulance will station two (2) Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances within Peters Township, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  • Hospital Choice: Your right to be transported to a hospital of your choice will not change. Patient choice will be respected within reason given medical considerations.
