What is PT AlertME?

PT AlertME is Peters Township's new notification system, powered by CodeRED®, designed to keep residents and businesses informed about both emergency situations and community alerts. CodeRED is an advanced emergency notification system enabling local public safety personnel to notify residents and businesses via telephone, text message, email, and more with time-sensitive information, emergencies, or urgent alerts.  The system can reach thousands of individuals in minutes, ensuring critical information such as evacuation notices, missing persons, and inclement weather advisories are quickly shared. Only authorized officials have access to send alerts using the CodeRED system.

Is there a Cost to Register for PT AlertME?

No, registering for PT AlertME phone calls, text messages, and emails is free. Simply sign up on our enrollment website and select your preferred means of communication.

Why Sign Up for PT AlertME?

PT AlertME helps keep you informed and prepared for any emergencies that may occur in our area. Officials will send messages to alert you of emergency details, instructions, or precautions that you need in order to make well-informed decisions and remain safe. This system is precise enough to geo-target residents within an exact area of impact so that only those people who are affected by an emergency situation are notified. Additionally, residents can stay up-to-date on event cancellations, road closures and detours, and Township service delays.

How Will I Know When PT AlertME is Calling?

A PT AlertME or CodeRED message will have the caller ID # 412-770-3358. We suggest you program these numbers into your cell phone as a "new contact" and use "PT AlertME" or "CodeRED" as the contact name.
